Workshops

Wander Wild Workshops  are hands-on classes focused on specific outdoor skills, designed for individuals and older students who want practical, real-world experience.

Our workshops are 3–4 hour, hands-on learning experiences designed to build practical outdoor skills in a focused, engaging environment. Each workshop centers on a specific topic—giving participants the opportunity to learn, practice, and gain confidence through real, skill-based instruction.

These workshops are ideal for individuals, teens, and older children who are ready to actively participate and engage with tools, techniques, and outdoor processes. Because many workshops involve the use of knives, tools, and fire, younger children are welcome only with direct parental supervision to ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone.

Whether you’re looking to grow your skillset or try something new, our workshops offer meaningful, hands-on learning in a supportive community setting.

Sample Workshop topics include-

  • Build a Fire Anywhere: Skills & Safety

  • Confident with a Knife: Practical Skills for the Outdoors

  • From Backyard to Backcountry: Camping with Confidence

  • Wild Kitchen: Cooking Over Fire

  • Read the Land: Navigation & Awareness Skills

  • Nature as Teacher: Journaling & Observation
