Our Story

WanderWild Nature Collective is a nature-based learning and community collective in North Texas, rooted in the belief that true wisdom grows from the soil up.

WanderWild Nature Collective grew from a shared vision: to combine quality education with meaningful outdoor experiences. As homeschooling mothers, we saw a need for both engaging high school-level courses and spaces where women could reconnect with nature and each other. What began small has grown into a community-centered offering for both students and women alike.

At the heart of what we do is a shared passion for meaningful learning, childhood wonder, and time spent in nature. As homeschooling mothers ourselves, we understand the desire to create rich, engaging experiences that nurture both the mind and spirit of our children. For the past five years, we have had the privilege of walking alongside families in our community, building trust and creating spaces where connection and learning flourish.

Dana has an extensive background in holistic, nature-centered practices. As a homeschool mom, Wilderness First Responder, and trained practitioner in forest therapy, she is passionate about fostering connection—to nature, to self, and to others. Her calm, thoughtful presence encourages both children and adults to slow down, observe, and engage deeply with their environment.

Audrey brings over 20 years of teaching experience to our program. As a certified Texas educator and homeschool mom, she combines a deep understanding of academic foundations with a love for hands-on, nature-based learning. Her approach blends structure with curiosity, helping children grow in confidence while discovering the world around them.

Together, we create learning experiences that are both intentional and joyful—supporting families who value education, connection, and the beauty of the natural world.

North Texas

Our Local Roots

We are deeply rooted in the soil of North Texas, dedicated to serving local families through nature-based learning and wild exploration. From the rolling prairies to the hidden creeks that carve through our landscape, we believe the local ecosystem is our most profound teacher.

Our collective proudly partners with local parks and ecological organizations to steward the land we inhabit. By tending to long-term relationships with both the earth and our community, WanderWild fosters a culture of reciprocity and belonging that spans every generation.
